Neale-Wade Angling Day

Pupils from Neale-Wade Academy took part in the School's Angling Day on Monday 15 July

Mr Page and Mr O'Connor took 8 pupils to Rookery Waters, Pidley.  The initiative was part of the new OSTED framework which will include schools promoting 'character and resilience'.

The pupils thoroughly enjoyed themselves and needless to say their behaviour was impeccable.

All parents were very supportive of the event and all enquired as to the possibility of future angling activities.

One pupil commented "I really enjoyed today and I learnt some new skills to help me next time I go".

The Academy would like to thank Mr Alex Bates, manager of Rookery Waters and the onsite Tackle and Bates shop, for providing the venue and bait.

We would also like to thank Mill View Tackle (March) for providing every pupil with a prize.
