Design Technology Curriculum Overview

Our Design Technology curriculum encourages students to become creative, innovative and resourceful problem-solvers. Through designing, making and evaluating, students develop practical skills alongside an understanding of materials, manufacturing processes and emerging technologies. The curriculum combines traditional workshop practice with modern CAD/CAM technologies, preparing students for future study and careers in engineering, product design, architecture and manufacturing.

Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9)

Students explore a range of materials, manufacturing techniques and design movements while developing practical workshop skills.
