Adventure day to relaunch sixth form

Neale-Wade Academy was delighted to welcome 53 students as it relaunched its Sixth Form at the start of the academic year.

The term got off to a fantastic start for the youngsters as they took part in a team-building day at the Adventure Nene activity centre in Peterborough. The day saw the young people take part in a range of activities designed to help them get to know each other, build their confidence and work together as a group.

From kayaking to climbing a high wall and paddle boarding, plus raft building and team building games, the Neale-Wade sixth formers got the opportunity to challenge themselves, while developing teamwork, communication, leadership and resilience skills.

As they settle into Year 12, the students are benefiting from modern learning facilities, dedicated study spaces, personalised academic support and many enrichment activities. 

The Sixth Form curriculum at Neale-Wade has been carefully developed to meet the needs and aspirations of local young people, offering a range of academic and vocational pathways that will allow them to pursue their individual goals with confidence.

The academy is running a Sixth Form Open Evening on Wednesday 5 November for prospective students and their families who are interested in taking up a place in September next year.
