GCSE success!
Neale-Wade Academy is celebrating after its Year 11 students received an excellent crop of GCSEs.
The students at Neale-Wade join young people across the country as they find out their results following exams in May and June.
The youngsters have had many challenges to face, including the disruption to their education during the pandemic five years ago, when this year’s GCSE students were in their final year of primary school.
But the students at Neale-Wade have risen to the challenge and have much to celebrate as they prepare for A-Level study or embark on college courses or apprenticeships.
The notable achievements at Neale-Wade are:
- Fareedat Makinde achieved Grade 9s and 8s in Science, Languages, History and Maths
- Daria Maistruk attained at the highest level in Art and in Maths
- Ella Lines performed extremely well in Science, Languages and English
- We are proud of Penny Dickerson, especially her attainment in Science, Psychology, Maths and Languages
Rick Hanson, Senior Leader at Neale-Wade Academy, said: “It is such a privilege to see our students' hard work rewarded with these strong results.
“A large number are now heading to their preferred post-16 destinations and we are absolutely delighted for them. A heartfelt thank you goes to our staff and families, whose support has been vital every step of the way.”
Graham Horn, Principal of Neale-Wade Academy, said: “This year's Year 11s have done so well in their GCSEs and we are incredibly proud of what they have achieved.
“As they move on to the next stage, we look forward to seeing all they achieve and wish them every success in the future. Congratulations to the class of 2025!"
Lynsey Holzer, CEO of The Active Learning Trust, added: “Many congratulations to everyone at Neale-Wade for this fantastic success at GCSE. The students should feel very proud of their achievements.
“I also want to acknowledge the dedication of our headteachers, teachers and support staff, whose hard work has been crucial in helping and supporting our students.
“These excellent results, along with the valuable experiences gained at Neale-Wade, will serve our young people well as they move forward into the next chapter of their lives.”
